Preparation of the breeding season (03/01/2021)

Tackling hidden diseases in healthy birds and building a good condition while avoiding deficiencies is essential in the breeding preparation.
It is also important to know the special needs during the breeding and to do proper disease control.

Trichomonas, an unknown respiratory disease (01/01/2021)

Nowadays many canaries and European finches are carriers of the protozoa TRICHOMONAS without any pronounced symptoms and therefore it is quite a confusing disease as the first symptoms are modest. Sometimes it only concerns wet eyes and sneezing, but the consequences for the breeding can be serious.
